    HUNTINGDON, PA- Kelsey Livoti (Altoona/Bishop Guilfoyle) scored the game-winning basket with three seconds left as the women’s basketball team came from behind to knock off Catholic 77-76 on Wednesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. It’s the first Eagles win over the Cardinals since 2012. Juniata improves its record to 6-11 and 4-4 in the Landmark. Catholic’s record now stands at 12-5 and 6-2 in the Landmark.

    HUNTINGDON, PA- The Juniata women’s basketball team broke a halftime tie with a big run in the second half to defeat visiting Merchant Marine Academy 68-53 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gymnasium. The win improves the Eagles record to 5-11 overall and 3-4 in the Landmark Conference. The Mariners drop to 2-12 and 0-10 in the conference.

It is the first Landmark Conference win for the Eagles this season and moves their record to 3-9 overall and 1-2 in the conference. The Rangers fall to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the Landmark.

The Eagles led at halftime and the game was still within reach in the second half, but the visiting Student Princes used a 15-5 run late in the second frame to come away with an 82-66 victory.
