    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football defensive coordinator Joe Battaglia and wide receivers coach Mike Newton participated in the Lauren’s First and Goal Foundation football camp recently. The organization provided the following release about the event. Battaglia is heading into his third season with the Eagles. Newton will start his fourth in the fall.

The foursome tapped include seniors Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia), Kevin Gorman (Waverly, N.Y./Waverly Central), and Jared Shope (Altoona, Pa./Altoona), along with junior Ward Udinski (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West).
  • Juniata Recognizes Big Five at 17th Annual Athletics Awards Night

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Juniata College Athletics reviewed its year in sports and acknowledged the accomplishments of its student-athletes at the 17th Annual Athletic Awards Night. Held Sunday night on campus, the event also recognized the departments “Big Five”, the top five senior student-athletes who have made incredible contributions not only to their respective sports, but the institution as a whole over the course of their four years.
  • Brandon Felus Named An ECAC All-Star

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata football junior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) became the first Eagle in over a decade to be named to the Eastern College Athletics Conference (ECAC) Division III South Football All-Star Team. The defensive lineman was one of 31 student-athletes recognized by the organization in the region.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conferences (MAC) named Juniata football alums Dennis DeRenzo (’91) and Brian Giachetti (’92) to the 1983-1992 All-Century Team in honor of the MAC’s 100-year anniversary.
  • Juniata Honors Seniors and Hosts Moravian in Final Home Game

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Juniata football program closes out its home season against Moravian College Saturday, Nov. 3 at 12 p.m. The Eagles will take time to honor their departing seniors before the Centennial Conference match-up. Moravian’s recent history eerily matches that of the Eagles. They have a head coach in his second season, who is an alum of the college, with a passing game that relies on the on arm of sophomore quarterback. They posted less than three wins last season and have just two on the books in 2012. Where the programs begin to differ are the numbers put up by the young QB’s and the stands of their defenses.
  • Juniata on Two-Game Win Streak After Defeating Moravian 14-6

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata football’s 14 first quarter points were enough to defeat Centennial Conference rival Moravian College, 14-6, Saturday afternoon. It was their first home win against the Greyhounds (2-7, 2-6 Centennial) since 2001. Juniata (3-6, 2-6 Centennial) is on a two-game win streak for the first time since 2002 and have their first three win season since 2003.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata football program is holding its annual pink game against McDaniel College Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1:30 p.m. on Goodman Field at Knox Stadium. All funds raised will go to the Alliance for Breast Care (ABC) at J.C. Blair.
  • Team Effort Gives Juniata Football 24-7 Victory over McDaniel at Pink Game

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata football defense held Centennial Conference rival McDaniel College scoreless for over three quarters to help the team pull out a 24-7 win on their annual Pink Game at Knox Stadium Saturday afternoon. It was the Eagles first home win of the season. They improve to 2-6 (1-6, Landmark) on the year while McDaniel dropped to 0-8 (0-7 Landmark).

    GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Juniata football team managed to keep the high-scoring Gettysburg College to the least amount of points and offensive yards the Bullets have accumulated in a game so far this season in a 28-7 Centennial Conference loss in Gettysburg, Pa. on Saturday afternoon.
  • Football falls to Dickinson due to last-second touchdown

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata football team was working hard from behind in their first Centennial Conference home-opener against Dickinson College at Goodman Field at Knox Stadium on Saturday afternoon and was finally able to tie it at 17 apiece, after losing the lead from a field goal to tie the game at 10-10, before a blocked punt attempt allowed Dickinson to score a touchdown with less than a minute left on the game clock to put the game out of reach for Juniata.
  • Football completes Juniata three sport sweep over Thiel with 16-13 victory

    GREENVILLE, Pa. – Senior Scott Andrews did it again; he ended the 2011 season with an 18-yard field goal with 2.9 seconds left on the clock to lift Juniata College football to a 17-16 win over Susquehanna University, and he started the 2012 season with another field goal that gave the Eagles a 16-13 lead and the win over Thiel College on Saturday afternoon in Greenville, Pa.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football juniors Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) and Kevin Gorman (Waverly, N.Y./Waverly Central), and seniors Noah Walstrom (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) and Julian Valdiserri (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon), have been named team captains for the 2012 season as voted upon by their teammates, according to Eagles head football coach Tim Launtz.
  • Eagles to Face First Top 15 Opponent of the Season
    Huntingdon, Pa. - Juniata College travels down to Baltimore, Md. this weekend to face-off against No. 15 Johns Hopkins University (JHU). The Eagles (1-3, 0-3 Centennial), who are looking for their first conference win of the season, have averaged nearly 20 points a game.
