Pavlik Named AVCA Coach of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Juniata women's volleyball head coach virtuoso Heather Pavlik '95 has been named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Coach of the Year.

Pavlik adds the only missing coaching accolade to an evergrowing awards collection she has amassed just this season. She was named the Region V Coach of the Year for the fifth time and the Landmark Coach of the Year for the eighth time earlier this season.

She has steered the team to a 32-0 season so far, with 29 consecutive sweeps and 76 straight sets won, an NCAA Division III record. Thirteen of the wins came over nationally ranked teams, and the Eagles have been ranked #1 in the AVCA coaches poll every single week.

The team is also riding a 94-match winning streak that dates back to September 2022.

It is the sixth time the program has received this honor, with previous head coach Larry Bock earning it five times: 1984, 1989, 1993, 2004, and 2006.

Coach Pavlik and the Eagles will return to the court tomorrow in Salem, Virginia, to face the University of La Verne at 4:30 PM in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
