HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata College women's volleyball team (32-0) has been seeded first heading into the national quarterfinals, where they will face off against eighth-seeded, 26-5, ranked 13th in the America Volleyball Coaches Association coaches poll, University of La Verne, in the NCAA Division III national quarterfinals on Wednesday, December 4th, in Salem, Virginia.

The 4:30 p.m. EST match will take place within Roanoke College's Cregger Center, which will hold all three days of the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships.
The winner of the Juniata-La Verne match advances to the national semifinals (Final 4) on Thursday, December 5th, at 7:30 p.m. EST. The national championship match is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th, at 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday's other quarterfinal match on this side of the bracket features 28-2 fourth-seeded Hope College vs. 35-2 fifth-seeded Washington and Lee University at 7:00 P.m. EST.
On the other side of the bracket, second-seeded 32-2 Johns Hopkins University will take on seventh-seeded 29-5 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 2:00 PM on Wednesday. The first match of the day will feature third-seeded 29-2 Emory against sixth-seeded 29-3 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at 11:30 am.
This is Juniata's 34th appearance in the national quarterfinals and the fifth time in six years.
Juniata heads into the quarterfinals 32-0, having won the Huntingdon, Pa. Regional this past weekend and their 43rd consecutive (17th straight Landmark) conference championship the week before. The team has won 94 consecutive matches (the second-longest streak in NCAA volleyball history) and 76 consecutive sets (the longest streak in Division III history).
Juniata is 15-2 all-time against La Verne, with the most recent matchup occurring two years ago in Texas, in which Juniata prevailed 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-19). This was the first win of the current 94-game winning streak.
Head coach Heather Pavlik has led Juniata to four consecutive appearances in the Elite 8 and five overall. Pavlik's career record is 378-68 in her 14th season as head coach at her alma mater.
