HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The #1 seeded Juniata women's volleyball team will host the #4 seeded Catholic University in the Landmark Conference Semifinals this Thursday at 7:00 pm inside Memorial Gymnasium.
Tickets for the game cost $10 for adults (18+) and $5 for minors (ages 10-17). Landmark Conference students, faculty, and staff can enter free with their campus ID. Tickets may be purchased online through Hometown Ticketing (click here), but you may also pay at the venue with cash.
The Juniata women's volleyball team went unbeaten in conference play, winning all nine matches via sweep. Juniata won the regular season matchup with Catholic, 25-11, 25-16, 25-21.
Catholic earned the five seed in the tournament after going 15-20, 5-4 in Landmark Conference play. They defeated the #4 seed Susquehanna in Selinsgrove on Tuesday evening, 3-1 (26-24, 25-21, 21-25, 25-20).
The Catholic offense is led by Grace Guerin, who has 218 kills (.212), while Erin Faughnan has 213 (.242). Kate Berra has 517 assists (4.04), while Anna Maria Carella (3.99) has 499 assists this season and leads the team in aces with 52.
The Juniata attack is led by Mackenzie Coley, who has 233 kills (.418) so far this season, while Kennedy Christy has 202 (.274). Olivia Foley leads the team in assists with 793 (11.84), Kiona Sky Rousset-Hernandez has 361 digs on the season (4.95) and also leads the team in aces with 54.
This is Juniata's 17th trip to the Landmark Conference postseason and 47th consecutive trip to conference playoffs overall, dating back to 1977. Catholic has been to the Landmark postseason 11 times.
The winner will advance to the Landmark Conference Championship on Saturday.
