Lexington, KY- Juniata women's volleyball standout Olivia Foley continues to add to her accolades collection as she was named American Volleyball Coaches Association National Player of the Week.
Foley averaged 12.17 assists per set (73) to go with 14 digs, five kills, four aces and three blocks on the weekend. As a team, the Eagles hit .397 across their wins over Ohio Northern 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-13) and Swarthmore 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-15).
The wins extended the Eagles' winning streak to 67, breaking the NCAA Division III record for consecutive wins.
Foley is the 15th women's volleyball player from Juniata to win this honor and the first since Nakita Gearhart in 2014.
Juniata returns to action next Friday in hostile territory as they will take on #2 Hope, the team they upended in the National Championship last year, in Holland, Michigan, at 6:30.
