Davis Named AVCA Region Freshman of the Year, Five Eagles Named AVCA All-Region

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Emma Davis (East Berlin, Pa / Dover Area HS) was named AVCA Region Freshman of the Year while Moira Folan (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Oakland Catholic HS), Victoria Taylor (Middletown, Del. / Delaware Military Academy), Dejia Danhi (Ashburn, Va. / Stone Bridge), and Morgan Edwards (Lancaster, Pa. / Penn Manor) were all named AVCA All-Region players.

AVCA Regional Freshman of the Year and All-Region teamer, Davis has appeared in 30 matches 104 sets. She was second in the Landmark Conference with a .306 hitting percentage and second in solo blocks with 23. Davis has also totaled 250 kills, 20 service aces, 53 digs, and 77 block assists. She was also named Landmark Athlete of the Week two times this season and was recently named to the Landmark All-Conference first team. 

Folan has appeared in 30 matches and 97 sets this season. Folan is third in the Landmark in assists with 930 and second with 9.59 assists per set. She also added 48 kills, 217 digs, and 36 total blocks. Recently, Folan was named to the Landmark All-Conference first team. 

Taylor has appeared in 30 matches and 105 sets. She has totaled 327 kills while hitting .245. Taylor has also totaled a career high of 12 solo blocks and added 31 block assists. Taylor was also named this year's Landmark Tournament MVP after her performance in the championship match against Susquehanna. Taylor was also named to the Landmark All-Conference first team. 

Danhi was named AVCA honorable mention and has appeared in 28 matches and 93 sets this season. She led the Landmark in total blocks with 121 and and blocks per set with 1.30. Danhi also has totaled 128 kills while hitting .303. Danhi has tallied 24 digs, 23 solo blocks, and 98 block assists. She was also recently named to the Landmark All-Conference first team. 

Edwards was named AVCA honorable mention as appeared in 28 matches and 99 sets this season. She has totaled 265 kills while hitting a career high .221. Edwards has tallied eight solo blocks and 64 block assists while adding 56 digs. Edwards was also named to the Landmark All-Conference second team. 

The Eagles will travel to NCAA Regional host, Christopher Newport to face Virginia Wesleyan this Friday at 12:30 pm.
