BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Juniata women's track and field team concluded the 2023 season with the second day of the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday. The day was highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay, a fifth-place finish for Olivia Barbacci in the 400-meter dash, and a sixth-place finish for Rebecca Christophel in the 800-meter race.

The team of Barbacci, Christophel, Zoe Biles, and Ashley Alfree competed in both the 4X100-meter relay and the 4X400-meter relay. Juniata claimed fourth place in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:14.06, Juniata's best time of the season. They claimed seventh place in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 53.49.

Barbacci set a new personal best in the 400-meters with a 1:00.05 to finish in fifth place in a field of 17. Her previous best mark was 1:01.09, set at the Paul Kaiser Invitational at Shippensburg in April.

Christophel finished in sixth place from 22 in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:23.99.

The Eagles also competed in the high jump and shot put.

Alfree finished in eighth place in the high jump with a mark of 1.39 meters.

Emma Coolidge followed up her podium in the javelin throw yesterday with a 15th-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 9.66 meters.

The Eagles finish the 2023 Landmark Conference Track and Field Championships in seventh place with 35.5 total points, which is 12.5 points more than was earned by the program in 2022. Barbacci was also named Landmark Rookie of the Year.
