Towson, Md.- Juniata women's soccer standout Sydney Simpson was named Landmark Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week after playing every minute of a trio of Eagle wins this past week.
The sophomore defender helped the team to two shutouts: 2-0 against Washington and Jefferson on Saturday and 1-0 against Franciscan on Sunday. She also contributed on the other end of the field, scoring in both of those matches.
The Juniata women's soccer team, off to their best start since 2013, will play at Albright on Saturday at 5:00.
