HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College indoor track and field excelled at the Landmark Conference Championships, women's basketball made its seventh consecutive Landmark tournament appearance, and men's volleyball played four matches in four days.

Women's Basketball
Fourth seeded Juniata took on No. 1 seed University of Scranton in the Landmark Conference semifinals on Wednesday where they fell 74-53 in Scranton.  Seniors Jordan Hileman (Williamsburg, Pa./Williamsburg) and Kate McDonald (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) led the way with team-highs of 14 and 12 points, respectively.  Hileman went 6-for-10 from the floor and McDonald earned her 17th double-double of the season by grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds.  Juniata (14-12) now waits to see if they will earn a spot in the Eastern College Athletic Conference South Tournament.

Men's Indoor Track and Field
The Juniata men's track and field team competed at the Landmark Conference Indoor Championship, hosted by Susquehanna University, this Saturday. The men collectively gathered 41 points to finish third at the meet.  The distance medley relay team of sophomore Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland), senior Connor Robinson (Asheville, N.C./Asheville), sophomore R.J. Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius High School), and freshman Petro Sokirniy (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Upper Moreland) picked up the Eagles only victory on the day. They won the event in 10:54.49, over six seconds ahead of the second place team.

Women's Indoor Track and Field
Juniata completed the indoor season this Saturday at the Landmark Championships. The Eagles finished fourth with a total of 77 points.  Senior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) earned the first individual title for the Eagles at the meet in record-breaking fashion, winning the 5,000 meters in 18:26.37, breaking her previous program record of 18:33.31.  Woods also won the 3,000 meters in 10:52.43.  Freshman Katelyn Fisher (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) won the high jump by clearing 1.47 meters. The victory continued the streak of a Juniata woman winning the high jump every year at the Landmark Indoor Championships.

Men's Volleyball
Juniata men's volleyball jumped up to No. 2 on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll and headed into one of its toughest weeks of the season.  The Eagles went 3-1 on the road with wins over Thiel, No. 7 Stevens, and Vassar.  Their lone loss was to No. 1 SUNY New Paltz.  The Eagles were led by juniors Alex McColgin (Buffalo, N.Y./Hamburg) and Joe Bortak (Jeannette, Pa./Penn Trafford) along with sophomore Chad Albert (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley).  Each recorded over 30 kills with McColgin leading the way with 50, respectively.  Albert also dominated at the net, adding 14 blocks to his 32 kills and .446 attack percentage.  Sophomore Matt Elias (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) finished the week with 99 assists, averaging 11 per set.  The Eagles remain on the road and head to No. 14 Stevenson on Friday, March 7 before facing Cairn and Valley Forge on Saturday, March 8.
