TOWSON, MD – The Juniata men's cross country team was picked to finish third in the Landmark Conference this season in the 2015 Preseason Coaches Poll.
Last year, the men finished fifth at the Landmark Championships. The team averaged 28:40 on the 8-kilometer course at Goucher College.
Head coach Jon Cutright returns with five upperclassmen, including top returners Nick Simpson (Silver Spring, MD / Albert Einstein) and Conor Dimond (Summerhill, PA / Forest Hills). Dimond finished 20th at Landmarks last season. With a team comprised of primarily underclassmen, Cutright looks to see his upperclassmen step up as leaders on the team.
The defending champions, Elizabethtown College, were picked to finish first, followed by Susquehanna in second.
The 2015 Landmark Championship meet will be hosted by U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point, NY.
