TOWSON, Md. – At the conclusion of the 2013 Landmark Conference Championship meet last Saturday, six Juniata cross country runners received All-Landmark honors.

On the men's team, senior Nate Alter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) was named to the First Team after finishing sixth overall in the race. Alter finished his Landmark cross country career as a four-time All-Landmark selection. Earning second team honors were sophomore Ryan Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) (10th), sophomore Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) (12th), freshman Nick Simpson (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) (13th), and freshman Xavier Cachon (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) (14th).

The top seven finishers in each race claim First Team All-Conference honors while the runners finishing eighth through 14th earn Second Team honors.

For the women, senior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) was named the Women's Performer of the Year. She is the first Juniata runner to be named Performer of the Year. Woods won the Landmark Championship race after finishing as runner-up last year. She is now a four-time All-Landmark honoree, with three appearances on the First Team. Woods also set the Juniata and Landmark 6K record earlier this year on Sept. 21 at the Lock Haven Invitational.

Juniata will have a week off before returning to action at the NCAA Mideast Regional meet hosted by Muhlenberg College at Lehigh University on Saturday, Nov. 16. The women's 6K championship race kicks off at 11 a.m., with the men's 8K race following at 12:30 p.m.
