Burden Named NCAA Elite 90 Award Winner

SALEM, Va.- Juniata men's volleyball senior Jeremiah Burden is the recipient of the NCAA Elite 90 award for the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship.

Burden, a dual POE in Data Science and Management, carries a 4.0 GPA. Burden received the Elite 90 award at the NCAA Banquet Thursday evening in Salem, Virginia.

The senior Libero has played in 120 matches and 410 sets for the Eagles. In that time, he has 432 digs and 176 assists. He has made the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team twice and the Continental Volleyball Conference All-Academic Team three times.

The Elite 90 award honors the exceptional achievements of student-athletes. This prestigious accolade is given to those who have not only excelled at a national championship level in their sport but have also achieved the highest academic standards among their peers. The Elite 90 is proudly awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships.

Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above academically who have participated in a sport for at least two years with their school. All ties are broken by the number of credits completed.

Burden is the second Juniata student-athlete to receive the Elite 90 Award. Steph Strauss '11 of the women's volleyball team earned the honor in 2009.

The men's volleyball team will face off against Southern Virginia University today at 5:00 p.m. in the NCAA Semifinals.
