MADISON, N.J.- Juniata men's volleyball standout Tyler Goldsborough was named Continental Volleyball Conference Athlete of the Week after picking up two wins over ranked opponents at the FrogJump Invitational this weekend.
Goldsborough led the Eagles to wins over #12 Baldwin-Wallace and #3 Stevens as the Eagles improved to 10-1 on the season.
The graduate student outside hitter totaled 42 kills and 12 digs in three matches against ranked foes, hitting .372 on the week and finishing with a .965 serve-receive percentage. He had two double-digit kill matches on the week and finished with 45.0 total points.
Goldsborough tied a career-high with 23 kills in the Eagles win over #3 Stevens, helping the program notch its first win over the Ducks since 2014. In that match, Goldsborough hit .487 and added a service ace and four digs.
He is the third Eagle to win the award, after Luke Hoffman and Chase Robbins.
