In the third, a 7-0 run with the score of 4-6 put them in the driver's seat. Duffy started things off with a kill; Goldsborough added one of his own before a block from Duffy and Ganter. The Royals committed an attack error prior to Goldsborough and Duffy adding a kill apiece. The Eagles led by as many as eight but ultimately won the match on a service error, 25-20.
