HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's volleyball team was picked third in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Preseason Poll. 

Juniata was five points from top choice, Rutgers-Newark, and three points back of number two, Southern Virginia, the reigning conference champion who JC took to five sets last season. 

The Eagles return everyone from last season, led by senior middle Kevin Duffy III (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS) who was a first-team All-America selection last year and the CVC Player of the Year. Reese Ganter (Reading, Pa. / Exeter Township HS) returns at setter after being named the AVCA East Region Newcomer of the Year and also the CVC Rookie of the Year. Robert Bowling (Columbus, Ohio / Hilliard Darby) returns on the right side after earning first-team all-conference honors. Sophomore Tyler Goldsborough (Reading, Pa. / Exeter Township HS) returns after he finished fourth in the CVC in kills and was named to the all-conference third team.  

The Eagles were also picked ninth nationally by FrogJump Volleyball, and you can see the complete top 20 here. Southern Virginia was slotted sixth while Rutgers-Newark came in at 13. 

Duffy was also selected as a preseason All-American by Frog Jump Volleyball; you can see the complete team here. Duffy was one of four CVC players to make the list, with two from Rutgers-Newark and one from Southern Virginia also being selected.

Juniata will open the season at home with an exhibition against Grand Canyon, next Friday the 14th at 3:00 pm.
