Duffy and Ganter Garner Top CVC Honors, Four Eagles Make All-Conference

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's volleyball team had four players named to the Continental Volleyball All-Conference team that was announced today, with Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS) and Reese Ganter (Reading, Pa. / Exeter Township HS) winning major awards. Robert Bowling (Columbus, Ohio / Hilliard Darby) and Tyler Goldsborough (Reading, Pa. / Exeter Township HS) joined them on the all-conference teams. 

Duffy was named the CVC Player of the Year and made the all-conference first team after putting together a dominant season from the middle of the floor. He led the conference in hitting percentage  (.479), solo blocks (14), block assists (51), total blocks (65), and blocks per set (1.23). He was third in the CVC in total kills (139) and fourth in points (194). He is currently 1st in the country in hitting percentage and second in the country in blocks per set. It's his second time appearing on the first team, and he made the third team his first year. Duffy is the third Juniata player to win CVC Player of the Year, joining Quinn Peterson and Paul Kuhn. 

Joining him on the all-conference first team for the second year in a row was Bowling, who put together another strong season from the right side. He was sixth in the conference in kills (136), kills per set (2.78), service aces (19), and points (172.0). He was seventh in total blocks (31) and 10th in digs (74). 

Ganter was named the CVC Rookie of the Year and made the all-conference second team after an excellent freshman campaign. He led the conference in assists (491) and was second in assists per set (8.77). He was eighth in digs (77) and 13th in total blocks (23). Ganter is the third CVC Rookie of the Year in program history and the first since 2013 when Matt Elias won it. Joe Bortak won the award in 2012.  

Rounding out the list of Eagles was Goldsborough, who made the all-conference third team after an exceptional freshman season saw him finish fourth in the CVC in kills (146), which also led the team. He was third in the conference, third in digs (90), tied for sixth in aces with Bowling (19), and ninth in kills per set (2.65)
