LEXINGTON, KY- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its latest coaches rankings in men's volleyball on Tuesday. For the third straight week, the Juniata men's team remains #1 overall.

Juniata received 11 first place notes to maintain its top position. Stevens Tech (2) is second followed by Springfield (3) in third.

The Eagles are 7-0 overall, which is their best start in the program's 26-year history. The previous best was 5-0 that was done twice (2011 and 2014).

In the most recent NCAA statistical rankings, Juniata is 9^th in hitting percentage (.273) 12^th in blocks per set (2.38), 14^th in kills per set (11.79), and 17^th in assists per set (10.61).  Senior Joe Bortak (Jeannette, PA/Penn Trafford) ranks 11^th in the country in hitting percentage with .433.

The Eagles play the #6 ranked Kean Cougars on Friday night in Union, NJ at 6 p.m. JC then plays Lasell on Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by a 3 p.m. showdown with the #2 Ducks.
