HUNTINGDON, Pa. – No. 1 Juniata College men's volleyball is hosting Thiel College on Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. in its eighth Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) match of the season.  Juniata (20-3) is 7-0 in conference and has won 10 of its last 11 matches.

This will be the second meeting of the two teams in 2014.  Juniata defeated the Tomcats 3-1 back on February 26.  They are 5-1 all-time against Thiel and have won the last two meetings.  The Eagles will look to big men Joe Bortak (Jeannette, Pa./Penn Trafford) and Chad Albert (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) on the front line to help win the battle at the net. 

Both sophomores are ranked nationally in their respective categories.  Bortak is third in hitting percentage and leads the league with a .435 average.  Albert is currently third in blocks per set and sits second in the CVC.

As a team, Juniata is top 10 nationally in five different categories, including second in blocks per set and win-loss percentage.  They lead the CVC in both and also lead the league in hitting percentage.
