HUNTINGDON, Pa. – No. 3 Juniata men's volleyball picked up its first loss of the season Friday night at the Volleyball Hall of Fame Tournament. The Eagles fell to No. 1 Springfield 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 21-25) and moved to 4-1 on the season.
Sophomore Paul Kuhn (York, Pa./Central York) led with a team-high 11 kills, committing just two errors and earning a .429 hitting percentage. The 6-7 outside hitter also picked up four digs and an ace.
Springfield (5-1) was led by Allstair Matthews who finished with a match-high 14 kills.
Juniata will face Harvard University Saturday, Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. in the consolation match.
