SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Juniata men's track and field team competed at the Susquehanna Early Season Multi and Invitational on Saturday.
Hunter Robertson represented Juniata in the heptathlon, finishing 12th with a total of 3,654 points. His performance included a 13th-place finish in the 60-meter dash (7.66 seconds, 662 points), a 13th-place showing in the long jump(5.78m, 540 points), and an 11th-place mark in the shot put (8.66m, 406 points). Robertson also cleared 1.64m in the high jump (496 points), clocked 9.51 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles (637 points), cleared 3.10m in the pole vault (381 points), and ran the 1,000-meter in 3:14.21 (532 points).
In the 60-meter dash, Caleb Massare led the team with a 23rd-place finish in 7.40 seconds, while Danny Ortega (49th, 7.86 seconds) and Gavin Robb (52nd, 8.10 seconds). Massare also excelled in the 400-meter dash, securing sixth place with a time of 53.26 seconds.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Deric Fritzges finished 14th with a time of 9.40 seconds.
In the 800-meter run, Josh Wilson delivered a solid performance, finishing eighth in 2:06.87.
Gavin Robb cleared 3.55m in the pole vault to finish fifth. Waylon Ehrenzeller competed in the long jump, finishing 15th with a mark of 5.61m, and also placed 10th in the triple jump with a leap of 11.46m.
In the throws, Logan Hackenberg threw 10.85m in the weight throw to place 12th and 9.80m in the shot put for 19th place. Talbot Reed-Jaquay (22nd, 9.44m) and Noah Rice (21st, 9.58m) also competed in the shot put.
The Juniata men look ahead to competing again on January 18.
