SELINSGROVE, Pa.- Hunter Robertson opened the meet weekend on Friday by competing in the heptathlon at the River Hawk Early Season Multi & Invite. After four events on the first day, Robertson sits in 13th place with 2,104 points and will look to improve his standing as competition concludes tomorrow.
He got off to a solid start in the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 7.66 seconds. The long jump followed, where Robertson achieved a mark of 5.78 meters. In the shot put, he had a best throw of 8.66 meters, and the day wrapped up with a 1.64-meter clearance in the high jump.
Robertson will tackle the remaining three events—60-meter hurdles, pole vault, and the 1,000-meter run—on Saturday as he aims to climb the leaderboard.
