HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team won their first match of the year against Penn College Friday evening at Raffensberger Tennis Courts.
In doubles play, Dillon Murphy and Arthur DeYoung fell 2-6 in first doubles while Jules Guyot and Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez won 6-2 in second doubles. In third doubles, Gustaf Geremia and Come Burghgraeve won in thrilling fashion 6-6, 17-01.
In singles play, the Eagles didn't let up. Guyot won 6-1, 6-1 in first singles as Di Benedetto Vásquez beat his opponent 6-0, 6-1 in second singles. Murphy bested his Wildcat opponent 6-4, 6-3 as DeYoung fell 6-4, 4-6, 0-6 in fourth singles. Geremia won 6-2, 6-4 in fifth singles and Burghgraeve rounded out Eagles play with a win 6-2, 6-0.
