HUNTINGDON, Pa.– The Juniata men's tennis team hosted the Saint Vincent Bearcats Monday afternoon and won 5-4 at Raffensperger Courts.
The team of Martin Munoz and Ross Conway beat their opponents 8-2 in first doubles, and Axel Chabbert and Utsav Deravariya won 8-6 in third singles. Dillon Murphy and Ezenna Emuka fell 4-8 in second doubles.
In singles play, Munoz swept his opponent 6-0, 6-0 in first singles. Emuka lost 6-2, 6-0 in third singles, while Chabbert fell 6-1, 6-2 in fifth singles. Murphy picked up a point for the Eagles in second singles, winning 6-4, 7-6. Conway fell 2-6, 3-6 in fourth singles, but Deravariya locked in the win with an extra set in sixth singles, winning 2-6, 6-2, 10-7.
The Eagles travel to Catholic this Saturday, April 15, for a 3:00 pm start.
