HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Juniata men's tennis team opened their spring break trip with a loss to Carroll University.
Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay / EIHU) and Dan Ansel (Lancaster, Pa. / Manheim Township) lost, 8-2 at first doubles, Matyas Kohout (Prague, Czech Republic / Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) and Jason Gerber (Commack, N.Y. / Commack High School) lost, 8-5 at second doubles, and Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass. / Newton North) and Daichi McAuliffe-Uchida (Wantage, N.J. / High Point Regional HS) lost, 8-5 at third doubles.
Liberman lost, 6-2, 6-5 at first singles, Kohout lost, 7-5, 7-5 at second singles, and McAuliffe-Uchida lost 6-4, 0-6 10-7 at third singles. Grafe lost, 7-5, 6-4 at fourth singles, Ansel lost 6-4,4-6, 10-7 at fifth singles, and Gerber lost 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 at sixth singles.
The Eagles will continue their trip in Hilton Head, S.C. as they take on Carelton tomorrow at 1PM.
