HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's swimming team competed in a tri-meet against Elizabethtown and Penn State Altoona on Saturday.
The meet started with the 200-meter medley relay, where Marshall Radonovich, Max Baronner, Kevin Bowser, and Christian Rota placed fifth with a time of 2:02.66.
In the 800-meter freestyle, Jay Gajiwala took seventh place with a time of 12:01.78.
The 200-meter freestyle saw Rota take seventh place with a time of 2:16.90, followed by Jim Oster in eighth place at 2:27.92.
Radonovich touched the wall third with a time of 30.90. Will Dovey and Matthew Tiernan followed, placing eighth and ninth with times of 34.27 and 36.04, respectively.
Baronner led the Eagles in the 50-meter breaststroke, securing fifth place with a time of 34.98. Isaac March finished seventh at 38.56, adding depth to Juniata's showing in the event.
In the 100-meter butterfly, Radonovich earned sixth place with a time of 1:08.47, while Bowser followed closely in seventh place at 1:10.24. Oster also competed, finishing ninth with a time of 1:18.73.
The 50-meter freestyle featured March in eighth place with a time of 29.07, while Gajiwala finished 10th with a time of 30.26.
Baronner was Juniata's top finisher in the 100-meter freestyle, placing sixth with a time of 1:00.82. Rota and Dovey followed in seventh and eighth places, clocking times of 1:02.93 and 1:03.60, respectively.
Radonovich competed in the 100-meter backstroke, placing fifth with a time of 1:08.55. Tiernan finished eighth with a time of 1:18.98.
The 400-meter freestyle saw Rota and Dovey place fifth and sixth with times of 4:58.41 and 5:09.42, respectively.
Bowser competed in the 200-meter IM, finishing seventh with a time of 2:35.05. Gajiwala followed in ninth place with a time of 3:11.71.
The meet concluded with the 200-meter freestyle relay, where Dovey, Gajiwala, March, and Tiernan placed fifth with a time of 1:55.77.
The Eagles return to the water February 13th for day one of the Landmark Conference Championships.
