Williamsport, Pa. - The Juniata men's swimming team competed in a tri-meet against Lycoming College and Wilkes University on Saturday at the Lamade Gymnasium Natatorium. The Eagles split as they defeated Lycoming 120 to 46, while falling 118-65 against Wilkes.
The meet began with the 200-yard medley relay, where the A team of Marshall Radonovich, Max Baronner, Kevin Bowser, and Christian Rota secured second place with a time of 1:49.28. The team of Matthew Tiernan, Isaac March, Jay Gajiwala, and Jim Oster represented the B team, finishing third at 1:57.03.
In the 1650-yard freestyle, James Oster placed third, clocking in at 22:14.20.
Marshall Radonovich led Juniata in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing second with a time of 1:56.47. William Dovey followed with a third-place time of 2:08.54, while Gajiwala finished fifth at 2:21.60.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Christian Rota placed third with a time of 1:04.48, followed by Kevin Bowser at 1:07.95 for fourth.
Max Baronner took first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.89, and Oster came third, finishing in 1:17.44.
Radonovich delivered a strong performance in the 100-yard butterfly, placing third with a time of 59.94. Tiernan followed with a time of 1:06.67.
The 500-yard freestyle saw Bowser finish second with a time of 5:57.79, and March secured third with 6:46.92.
In the 200-yard IM, Baronner took third place, clocking in at 2:20.22. Dovey followed with a fourth-place finish at 2:31.62.
The meet concluded with the 200-yard freestyle relay, where the team of Dovey, Oster, Gajiwala, and Tiernan placed second, recording a time of 1:43.46.
The men's swimming team's meet against Lebanon Valley scheduled for tomorrow has been postpooned.
