HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The men's swimming team still hold an undefeated season, beating Marywood 165-67 Saturday afternoon in Binder Natatorium.
The team of Christian Rota, Max Baronner, Kevin Bowser, and Isaac March dominated the first event of the day to set the tone. The Eagles placed first in the 400-meter medley relay with a time of 4:44.92.
Marshall Radonovich and Jim Oster kept the momentum for the Eagles going in the 800-meter freestyle. Radonovich claimed first with a time of 9:53.51 as Oster finished in second with a time of 11:29.79.
Rota placed first in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:17.50 and Jay Gajiwala claimed fourth with a time of 2:34.13.
Will Dovey and Matthew Tiernan placed second and third in the 50-meter backstroke with times of 34.39 and 35.98.
The 50-meter breaststroke saw Baronner claiming first with a time of 36.29 and March finishing second with a time of 38.68.
Bowser, Dovey and Gajiwala ruled the 100-meter butterfly. Bowser with a first-place finish and a time of 1:10.20, Dovey with a second-place finish and a time of 1:16.00, and Gajiwala with a fourth-place finish and a time of 1:32.39.
Baronner placed first in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.01 as Rota claimed second with a time of 28.11 and Tiernan finished in fourth with a time of 29.57.
Radonovich claimed the 100-meter freestyle with a first-place finish and a time of 59.99 as Oster and Bowser finished in third and fourth with times of 1:05.50 and 106.06.
Rota and Tiernan claimed first and second in the 100-meter backstroke with times of 1:15.18 and 1:24.56.
The 100-meter breaststroke was dominated by JC. Baronner claimed first with a time of 1:20.88, Oster finished in third with a time of 1:29.11, and March finished in fourth with a time of 1:30.97.
Radonovich finished in first with a time of 5:02.42 in the 400-meter freestyle as Gajiwala claimed third with a time of 5:49.75.
Bowser and March claimed third and fourth in the 50-meter butterfly with times of 29.91 and 32.45.
The 400-meter IM was won by Dovey with a time of 5:58.27.
The 400-meter freesytle relay consisted of Radonovich, Oster, Tiernan, and Dovey who claimed first with a time of 4:14.58.
The Eagles face Ursinus and McDanield nest Saturday for another dual meet.
