Greyhounds Run Past Eagles

Greyhounds Run Past Eagles

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's lacrosse team suffered a 22-9 loss at the hands of Landmark foe Moravian Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium. It was the program's first-ever home conference game.

Jack M Loucks (Toronto, Canada / Minden) tallied four goals, a ground ball, and a caused turnover while Aiden Duran (Walden, N.Y. / Valley Central) added two goals, two assists, and two ground balls on the day. Jacob Wallman (Arbutus, Md. / Western Tech) found the back of the net twice and scooped up two ground balls, Jake Rivoir (Greenlawn, N.Y. / Harborfields) chipped in with a goal while Reuben Stoll (Bethesda, Md. / Walt Whitman) and Danny Hoover (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) each had an assist.

The Greyhounds scored the first goal of the game a minute and a half in, with Loucks finding the back of the Greyhound goal a few minutes later to tie things at one.

Moravian scored the next five goals, with Duran finding Loucks for a goal, while the Eagles were a man up to make it 6-2 with just under 11 minutes to play in the second quarter. The Greyhounds rattled off five straight before Hoover was the provider for Louck's third goal to stop the visitor's run momentarily. Moravian added two more to close the half as JC trailed by ten at the break.

The Eagles battled tough in the second half, as they scored six goals to the Greyhound nine.

Justin Toney (Westminster, Md. / Winters Mill) had a season-high 21 saves in net for JC.

Juniata will travel to take on Drew Saturday at 1:00.
