State College, Pa.- Men's golf battled at Penn State's Blue Course, shooting a 10 over 298 in the wind and spotty rain. The Eagles improved by 8 shots as a team and moved up the leaderboard ahead of conference rival Moravian to finish in fifth place at the Pennsylvania Classic.
Colin Wible carded a 73 in challenging conditions at the course he calls home. Wible holed out from 80 yards for an eagle on the 431-yard, par four, seventh hole after a great drive. Wible finished tied for 19th place out of 96 players at the tournament.
Griffin Snowberger shot an even par 72 on the Blue course today to finish in a tie for 31st place. Snowberger poured in four birdies on the third, sixth, 15th, and 18th holes for an even 36 front and back nine.
Kole Washleski finishes tied for 5th place after shooting 75 today. Washleski found four birdies on the back nine of the Blue course to shoot 34 on the back.
Ethan Brown found himself in a tie for 43rd place after 36 holes of play at the Pennsylvania Classic. Brown carded a seven over 79, completed by birdies on the sixth and 11th holes.
Harrison Levithan finished in 47th place after shooting a six over par 78. Levithan had four birdies in a 10-hole stretch.
The Eagles soar back into play on Thursday, April 3rd, at the Elizabethtown Spring Invite at Hershey Country Club. They will begin play at 12:00 PM.
