Blue Jays Pull Away Late Against Eagles

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- The Juniata men's basketball team lost at Elizabethtown College, 80-63, Wednesday evening. 

Jayden Bilger had a season-high 20 points to go with six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. Tyler Lapetina totaled 15 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Sho Watson had nine points, a rebound, and three assists, while Malcolm Griffith totaled eight points, four rebounds, and a block off the bench. Mason Hardy played all 40 minutes as he added five points, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  

The first half was tightly contested, and the Eagles got within three on a Lapetina layup off a Hardy assist to make it 35-32 at the break.  

The Blue Jays pulled away in the final seven minutes of the game, as they closed the game on a 20-4 run to complete the scoring.  

Etown won the battle on the glass, 43-31, and got 28 points off the bench to the Eagles' 11.
