HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's basketball team suffered a 72-38 defeat to visiting Catholic University Wednesday evening inside Memorial Gymnasium.
Tre Yawn scored 10 points off the bench with four rebounds, an assist, and two steals, while Mason Hardy tallied seven points, three rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block. William Littles Jr. added five points and a rebound.
Hot shooting from deep doomed the Eagles. The Cardinals splashed nine three-pointers in the first half and shot 57.7% from the floor. The Eagles struggled to find a rhythm and shot 22.7% from the field.
The Juniata defense managed to cool off the Cardinals from behind the line as the visitors went 3-11 from three in the second half but couldn't narrow the deficit.
Juniata returns to action at Drew this Saturday at 4:00.
