Gwynedd Valley, Pa.- The Juniata men's basketball team lost on the road at Gwynedd Mercy, 80-48, Wednesday evening. 

Sho Watson led the way with 12 points off the bench for the Eagles, Benjamin Landesman had seven points, a rebound, an assist and three steals. Jordan Shifler added five points, two rebounds, and an assist off the bench. 

The Eagles were cold for the opening 10-minute game as the Griffin's defense stymied the Eagle offense. Watson knifed into the paint from the left wing, jump-stopped, and shot a hi

gh arcing shot over two defenders to break the seal on the hoop for the Eagles. The home team scored on the other end before Tre Yawn raced down the floor and found a cutting Malcolm Griffith for a layup. 

The Griffins went on a 19-0 run over the next nine minutes before Jack Edwards made a three from the top of the key. Watson and Landesman scored the final buckets of the half for the Eagles. 

Juniata trailed 36-11 at the half. 

The Griffins narrowly outscored the Eagles in the second half 44-37 in the second half. 

The Eagles return home after Thanksgiving to host Elizabethtown on Wednesday at 7:00.
