Field Hockey Receives Multiple NFHCA Academic Awards

Huntingdon, PA – The Juniata Field Hockey team earned a place on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) 2024 National Academic Team Award and multiple student-athletes earned places on the NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction list and NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad as released by the NFHCA on Tuesday. 

Juniata is one of 69 Division III schools named to the National Academic Team Award. This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year. 

Lillian Case, Madison Degilio, Sierra Rossman, Caitlin Steffie, Kaylyn Walters and Haleigh Wolverton were named to the 2024 Division III Scholars of Distinction which honors 550 student athletes from more than 135 institutions who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester. 

Lillian Case, Colleen Creneti, Madison Degilio, Siena Guttormson, Cassandra Lease, Tess Ledeboer, Morgan Martin, Katherine McGrath, Zoe Merkel, Kaylyn Nierzwicki, Mallory Prince, Sierra Rossman, Caitlin Steffie, Kara Stringfellow, Kaylyn Walters, Sydney Witter and Haleigh Wolverton were named to the 2024 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad which recognizes more than 1880 outstanding undergraduate student-athletes from more than 150 institutions who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester.
