Martin Selected to Women Leaders’ Rising Stars Mentorship Program

Martin Selected to Women Leaders’ Rising Stars Mentorship Program

RIVER FALLS, Wis.– Juniata field hockey standout Morgan Martin was selected to participate in the Women Leaders' Rising Stars mentorship program.

In its continued efforts to foster leadership and professional development opportunities for high-achieving student-athletes, Chi Alpha Sigma has announced a collaboration with Women Leaders in Sports to provide mentorship and programming for a cohort of inductees interested in pursuing careers in athletics.

"This a tremendous opportunity to support and empower many of the young women at our institutions across the country who are looking to remain involved in athletics after graduation," Chi Alpha Sigma executive director Kellen Wells-Mangold said.

"Women Leaders in Sports is, without a doubt, at the pinnacle of organizations working to develop the leaders needed in intercollegiate athletics and beyond, so to be able to work together to provide networking opportunities and career resources is an incredible benefit to Chi Alpha Sigma and its inductees."

A cohort of 40 Chi Alpha Sigma inductees interested in pursuing a career in sports will take part in the Women Leaders' Rising Stars mentorship program this academic year. The opportunity will connect inductees with experienced professionals in athletics who will serve as resources to the cohort, helping guide them as they begin to navigate their post-graduate careers. Members of the cohort will also take part in professional development sessions through Women Leaders that will be designed to enhance their skills, knowledge, and connections in the sports industry.

Members of the Chi Alpha Sigma cohort were selected in the fall with and programming started this winter.
