INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has elected Juniata field hockey standout Lillian Case, current Vice Chair, as its Chair during the committee's November meeting.
"It's an incredible honor to be elected Chair of Division III SAAC," said Case. "Serving as the Landmark Conference representative and advocating for change has been so rewarding. I'm thrilled to take on this role and continue amplifying the voices of all DIII student-athletes. I'm especially excited to participate in shaping the student-athlete experience and to cast the DIII SAAC vote at the 2026 NCAA Convention."
Case joined Division III SAAC in the summer of 2023, representing the Landmark Conference for a three-year term. In February 2024, she was elected Vice Chair.
Case's appointment places her among the top leadership voices within the NCAA, joining Juniata College President Jim Troha, who was recently selected to serve on the NCAA Board of Governors for a two-year term. Troha is currently the chair of the NCAA Division III Presidents Council.
"Lillian's selection as Chair of Division III National SAAC is a reflection of her unwavering dedication and exceptional work in representing student-athletes at Juniata College, within the Landmark Conference, and across all of Division III," stated Landmark Conference Commissioner, Katie Boldvich. "Her leadership is truly inspiring, and there's no doubt she'll make a lasting impact for student-athletes everywhere."
Division III SAAC plays a critical role in shaping the student-athlete experience within the NCAA's largest division. The committee reviews legislation, addresses key student-athlete concerns, leads national initiatives, and builds community engagement. A key component of its mission is its partnership with Special Olympics. The committee meets in person four times a year, with additional teleconferences as needed, ensuring continuous dialogue on issues that impact student-athletes nationwide.
