HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team lost in their home opener to visiting #19 The College of New Jersey, Saturday afternoon at Knox Stadium.
Kara Stringfellow got the start in goal for the Eagles, making seven saves.
The Lions scored three goals in the first quarter, all from same player as Juniata trailed three after one.
TCNJ added one more in the second as the Eagles trailed 4-0 at the break.
The visitors scored once more in the third to complete the scoring.
Juniata returns to action on Wednesday at Gettysburg.
