WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Juniata field hockey team fell, 2-0 to Catholic at Cardinal Stadium, Saturday afternoon.

The first quarter was scoreless. The Eagles took the first two of three shots in the first quarter. In the seventh minute, Sarah Alexander's (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) shot was blocked then about five seconds later Olivia Marker's (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area HS) shot was saved by a Cardinal defender. Catholic scored their first goal of the game within five minutes of the second quarter. 

In the third quarter, Catherine Lanigan (Parsippany, N.J. / Parsippany HS) took a shot but it was saved by the Cardinal goalie. With a minute left in the third quarter, Catholic scored their second goal of the game. 

Nicole Piccioni (Richfield, Pa. / Midd-West) made six saves in goal. 

The Eagles travel to Dickinson this Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
