Kolb Named Defensive Backs Coach

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata College is pleased to announce Andrew Kolb as the new assistant football coach who will be responsible for the defensive backs.  

Kolb brings a decade of coaching experience to Juniata, and he most recently spent the 2023 season as a defensive backs coach, recruiting coordinator, and academic coordinator at Methodist University. While there, his responsibilities included developing weekly scouting reports, creating scout cards and overseeing the scout team during training, developing content for team meetings, assisting with the on-campus recruiting process, and academic check-ins.

Prior to Methodist, Kolb helped in the revitalization of the football program at Keystone College, as he spent four years as as defensive assistant coach, video coordinator, recruiting coordinator, and an admissions counselor in La Plume. Before his stint at Keystone, Kolb was a video coordinator at FCS Wagner College for a season. 

He first coached at the collegiate level for a season at Division II East Stroudsburg University as a defensive assistant coach, focusing on defensive backs. 

Kolb began his coaching career with three seasons as an assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach at Bangor Area High School from 2014-16.  

Kolb graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialization in Business, Careers, and Information Technology in 2014. He anticipates soon getting his Master of Education in Instructional Technology from East Stroudsburg University.
