LANCASTER, Pa. –The Juniata College football team suffered its first loss of the season in a 46-16 decision to Centennial Conference rival Franklin & Marshall College (F&M) Saturday afternoon on the road.  The Eagles moved to 3-1 on the year, 2-1 in conference with the loss.  F&M improved to 2-2, 2-1 in league.

"This is a learning experience," said head coach Tim Launtz.  "I just felt we were flat today.  We have to use this as a force multiplier to get back to what we're doing.  It's not the end of the season.  We have six more games.  And we'll learn from it, make the corrections and move on."

Junior Ward Udinski (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense.  Fellow junior Isaiah Slutter (Hawley, Pa./Wallenpaupack Area) continued his progress, grabbing a game-high 110 yards out of the air and one touchdown.

The defense was led by reigning Centennial defensive player of the week Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia).  The senior grabbed a team-high seven tackles with two for a loss of six yards.

Juniata returns home on Saturday, Oct. 5 for its annual pink game.  The Eagles take on No. 13 Johns Hopkins University at noon in Knox Stadium.
