HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata football program is holding its annual pink game against McDaniel College Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1:30 p.m. on Goodman Field at Knox Stadium. All funds raised will go to the Alliance for Breast Care (ABC) at J.C. Blair.
The Eagles will be selling an assortment of baked goods and a variety of items including pink hats the coaching staff will be modeling during the game, T-shirts from the women's basketball pink game, pink cowbells and mini pink megaphones.
There will also be raffles during the game. The grand prize of the day will be the special edition breast cancer awareness game ball. The Eagles are using a special ball in the first play of the game. It will then be swapped out and raffled off to a lucky fan in attendance.
This is the 25th meeting between the Eagles and McDaniel. The two programs have been competing since 1923 and McDaniel leads the all-time series 12-11-1. Juniata has not defeated the Green Terror since 2008 when they came away with the 12-10 victory (Oct. 4) at home. From 1993-1998 the teams opened their season against one another alternating home sites. This is the first time in five years both teams were looking for their first conference win against each other.
