HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College junior Scott Andrews (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Altoona Area) has been named the Centennial Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week, for his efforts in Juniata's 17-16 win over Susquehanna University this past Saturday.
Andrews nailed an 18-yard game-winning field goal with 2.9 seconds showing on the game clock, lifting the Eagles (1-9, 1-8 Centennial) to the victory. The field goal was Andrews' second of the season on four attempts, and keyed the Juniata win that snapped a 21-game winless streak.
Andrews also converted a pair of extra-point attempts in the victory over the Crusaders, and flawlessly executed an on-side kick to allow Juniata to maintain possession after a go-ahead touchdown by the Eagles in the third quarter.
