HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Entering the final home weekend of the regular season and the Juniata College men's tennis team is still unbeaten. With a 9-0 over Susquehanna last Wednesday, the Eagles clinched a berth to the Landmark Conference tournament with a 5-0 league record and two conference matches remaining. Juniata will host Stevenson University Friday, April 11, at 3:30 p.m. and then host Drew University on senior day, April 12 at 1 p.m., for the final home match of the regular season.

Four of Juniata's top six players have earned Landmark Conference Player of the Week honors in the 2013-14 season and sophomore Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) also garnered Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South region player of the week. Moore is 12-0 at the No. 5 singles position this season and has only dropped two matches all year for a 15-2 overall record. Combined with freshman Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius), the No. 1 doubles pair has amassed a 7-5 record at the top position and is 7-3 over the last 10 matches.

In the last meeting between Juniata and Stevenson, the Eagles got the better of the Mustangs to the tune of 6-3. The win was the sixth of the year for Juniata on their way to a program-record-tying 13 wins. Juniata has since set a new record for wins in a single season when it captured the 14th victory of the year against Susquehanna.

Since the inception of the Landmark Conference, Drew has prevailed over the Eagles on all seven occasions including an 8-1 in the Landmark tournament semi-finals in 2009. The 6-3 loss last year was the closest match Juniata has played with the Rangers and nearly went the way of the Eagles as senior Elliott Perow (Huntingodn, Pa./Huntingdon) and sophomore Bryan Gregory (Glen Mills, Pa. / Garnet Valley) took their doubles match all the way to 8-5 and Perow forced a tie break in his singles match. This season Perow has paired up with sophomore Mike Lifshitz (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Academy) for an 11-0 record at No. 3 doubles and a 12-1 overall record.

Gregory and senior Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) are 9-2 at the No. 2 doubles position and have won seven of their last 10 matches together. Wisniewski is undefeated in singles play during dual matches winning 10 matches at No. 2, three at No. 3, and one at the No. 4 position.

Raffensperger Tennis Courts will be busy with action all weekend as the women's team will also host Stevenson and Drew at the same time as the men's team.
