Benjamin Grant joined the Juniata College Athletics Department as the Director of Athletic Communications in August 2017. He became the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications and also serves as the sport administrator for women’s soccer, esports and cheerleading.
Grant provides day-to-day oversight of the department’s social media and external marketing needs, while also coordinating game day staffing, livestream, and statistical services. In his current role, Grant also collaborates with campus partners to facilitate Hall of Fame, D3 Week, and the Alfies Awards (year-end banquet) programming.
Since arriving at Juniata, Grant led the redesign of the Juniata Athletics webpage in 2021. He and his office hosted the 2018 and 2022 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Regional Finals and created all marketing and social media materials to highlight Juniata’s 2022 women’s volleyball national championship team. Under Grant’s supervision, the Athletic Communications Department was honored by the AVCA for its coverage of women's volleyball that season. Grant also played an integral role in hosting the 2022 Landmark Conference Track and Field Championship. He also helped with hosting the Landmark men’s golf championship in 2021 and the Landmark Cross Country Championship in 2017. He also currently acts as a CSC Academic All-America District Coordinator.
Prior to Juniata, Grant was the Assistant Sports Information Director at Misericordia University from August 2015-May 2017 and was the Sports Information Graduate Assistant at McDaniel College from January 2014-July 2015.
Grant graduated from McDaniel in 2013 with a B.A in English and earned his M.S. in Sport Administration in 2015.
