She has also been named D3Hoops.com Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year after the 2017-18 season.

In 2017-18, Juniata went 23-6 and was 10-4 in the Landmark. The Eagles qualified for the Landmark and NCAA tournaments where they reached the round of 32. The Eagles were ranked in the D3hoops.com poll for the first time since 2014. Their highest D3hoops.com ranking was 18th, the week of December 19th, 2017. The team was also ranked 25th in the WBCA DIII Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The Eagles won their first Landmark Conference Championship in 2011 and have been contenders for the title each season. Juniata finished the season with a 22-7 overall record, 12-2 in the conference. Their first conference title led them to the third NCAA appearance in program history.

After finishing 23-6 in the 2017-18 season which included opening the season with 14 straight wins. The team advanced to the Landmark Championships, then recieved an at large bid to the NCAA tournament. They defeated Piedmont College in the First Round of the NCAA tournament then advance to the Second Round.

Juniata defeated Gallaudet University in the First Round of the tournament to advance to the Round of 32 and establish the program as a force in the conference. The following season, the Eagles received their first ever top-10 ranking by D3Hoops.com and USA Today/ESPN. Juniata returned to the NCAA tournament and moved to the Second Round before falling to York College.

Young-Uhrich has established a culture for her program that commands respect. The Eagles never back down from a challenge and push themselves to the fullest every day, on and off the court.

Before she made the program her own, Young-Uhrich was an assistant to Amy Buxhaum. During her two years as an assistant on the Juniata bench, the Eagles posted a 21-29 overall record, and captured one Commonwealth Conference play-off berth.

As a player for the Eagles, Young earned All MAC Commonwealth First Team honors in the 1999-00 season where she recorded the third-most steals in a single season in program history. The former Juniata standout still holds many records for the Eagles.
