Scott McKenzie enters his 24th year on College Hill in 2023, and his fourth as the Associate Athletic Director for External Engagement.
McKenzie oversees all aspects of event management, facility management and scheduling, equipment services and is the sport administrator for Softball, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse and Men’s and Women’s Tennis.
Previously, he spent 19 seasons as the women’s soccer coach at Juniata where he amassed over 130 victories and seven post-season appearances in his time leading the program. He also led the men’s soccer program for seven years, from 2000 through 2006.
McKenzie spent four years on the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Committee from 2006-09 and served as the national chair during the 2009-10 academic year. He has also served on the ECAC post-season selection committee and has been a guest speaker and panelist at NACDA/NADIIIA conventions.
McKenzie arrived at Juniata after a successful career at Southern Vermont College during where he finished with a 60-71-10 overall record, claimed the school’s first ever conference title in a women’s sport, and earned three 10-win seasons and four conference tournament berths in his final four seasons. In May of 2013 McKenzie became just the 25th member of the Southern Vermont College/St. Joseph’s College Athletics Hall of Fame.
McKenzie resides in Huntingdon with his wife Renata. They have two daughters, Kirstin (Juniata ’16) and Shannon.
