TOWSON, Md.- Juniata women's volleyball standout Marybeth Weihbrecht (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week.

Over the weekend, Weibrecht assisted the Eagles to a perfect 3-0 record at the East-West Challenge in Claremont, Calif. Juniata defeated No. 12 Washington (Mo.), 3-0, No. 6 Emory, 3-2 and No. 15 Cal. Lutheran, 3-2. 

Across the three matches, Weihbrecht totaled 32 kills and 15 total blocks. Against Cal. Lutheran, Weihbrecht tied a career high with 19 kills while hitting .500 and added three solo blocks with eight block assists. Her eight block assists are tied for the fourth most in a match in team history. Weihbrecht, also surpassed 500 career kills over the weekend, she now has 505 on her career.

Weihbrecht and the Eagles will host Marymount (Va.) and Arcadia on Saturday, September 22nd for a Tri-Match.
