HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The women's tennis team was defeated by Lycoming College, 5-4 Tuesday afternoon at Raffensberger Tennis courts.
In doubles play, Medina Yessenaliyeva and Celia Navarro de Torres beat their Warrior opponent 8-1 in first doubles as Charley Madlock and Marilyn Ogof fell 3-8 in second doubles.
Yessenaliyeva took her momentum into singles play and swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0 while Navarro de Torres also won 6-1, 6-0 in second singles. Madlock fell 6-7, 2-6 in third singles, while Maggie Ackley blanked her match up 6-0, 6-0 in fourth singles. Ogof lost 5-7, 1-6 in fifth singles and Kalathur was beaten 2-6, 2-6 in sixth singles.
The Juniata women's tennis team will celebrate Senior Day versus Catholic, Saturday at 1:00 pm.
