HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The women's tennis team wrapped up their season and celebrated senior day but fell to Goucher 6-3.
In doubles play, Laura Julien and May Nhu Nguyen won by default. Immy Ramsdale and Olivia Cooley were blanked 0-8 in second doubles, and Marta Celebic and Maggie Ackley lost their battle in first doubles 7-8.
In singles play, Celebic gained a second point for the Eagles by default. Ramsdale was swept 0-6, 0-6 in second singles, and Julien was blanked 0-6, 0-6 in third singles. Ackley dropped her matchup 2-6, 0-6 in first singles, and Nguyen fell 0-6, 0-6 in fifth singles. Cooley fought her way to the Eagle's third point, winning 6-4, 7-6 in fourth singles.
Today's match concluded the 2023 season for the JC women's tennis program.
