RUGGIERO AND GOODLANDER NAMED TO ALL-LANDMARK SQUAD

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College women's soccer players Sarah Ruggiero (Bangor, Pa./Bangor) and Laura Goodlander (Etters, Pa./Red Land) have been named to the All-Landmark Conference second team, it was announced today by the Landmark Conference.

Ruggiero, a sophomore forward, finished the regular season with seven goals for 14 points while playing in all 16 games. She was second on the team in both points and goals scored, and finished among the top ten in the conference in both categories.

Goodlander, a sophomore midfielder, tallied four goals and three assists for 11 points while playing in all 16 games.

Both Ruggiero and Goodlander recorded a pair of game-winning goals during the 2007 season, including Goodlander's game-winning goal in a conference win over Drew University.

Juniata finished the regular season with a 9-4-3 record, 2-2-2 in conference play, and earned the program's first post-season berth with a fourth-place finish in the Landmark Conference. The Eagles will play top-seed University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Tournament semifinal on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Scranton, Pa.
